A smile is Given, A smile is Taken
Ax.Barajas 1980 (Illinois)
A smile is given.
A smile is taken.
We walk around life.
Hiding what we feel.
Never revealing our true colors.
Masked behind a fake smile.
Take what you see.
To feel wanted, we try to please.
Those around us to feel accepted.
Deep down we sometimes feel
hollow an empty shell.
No one knows your true heart.
A smile is given,
Disguising who we really are.
To make the void we feel whole.
To smile doesn't take much.
It is a fraction of our souls intuition.
Not everyone is privledged.
To acknowledge our presence our
confidence. It is not hard to do.
It is better to live guarded and in
disbelief. Than it is to believe.
Take with you this short smile
Many times we are tested to see
our strengths and weaknesses.
To recognize failure and success.
We must be able to break a dozen yokes
to make the perfect omelette.
Give a smile,
Sometimes it feels like we are
stuck in the mud. But eventually
the more we thrust and sway.
The more we pull ourselves out
of the mud and on our way.
It took Thomas Addison 2,447 tries
to invent the light bulbs. In life we
must find ways to stay positive.
So grant a smile to
even the odds.
Even tough we feel the world against us.
Our inner strength comes from
within.
A smile is given.
A smile is taken.
That is what makes us human.
Makes us who we are.
All we can do is smile.
The greatest weapon anyone can
possess is yourself. The greatest
arsenal is confindence....
So smile, you matter no one can
take that away.
Take this bit of wisdom with you.
