A Warrior's Cry

The light's are out
My phone is gone
The rent's not paid
I'm overdrawn
The  city's fast
The trains are slow
Well.. everything's so loud
That I just don't know and I feel like I'm
about to lose
I wanna shout:
"I PAID MY DUES!"
but I can't because the neighbors might complain

I'm feeling a little stronger now
I gotta get out of here somehow
and that's when
a little voice inside me says...

It's saying:

STEP BY STEP
UNTIL I LIGHTEN UP THE  LOAD

It's saying..

STEP BY STEP
UNTIL I'M BACK ON THE ROAD

My poem for the people
