the seasons
nina 2002 (Paraguay)
it was spring when we first met.
flowers were blooming
just like my love for you.
it was summer when it all started.
the warmth of the sun and sea
embraced us.
it was autumn when it all ended.
my tears could easily disguise themselves
in the fine drizzle.
but it was winter when you finally left.
the white snow blanketed you completely
and my heart turned cold.
