One Spirit
Fidelis Peter Olowu 1982 (Agbarho Kingdom)
About this poem
In life there's bound to be misunderstanding and disagreement because just as we all have some slight or major features that differentiate us from others, that's how we occasionally think differently from others. Even The Bible permits us to be angry but it also cautions us against allowing our anger to make us commit sin. In essence, when people have dispute with others they should hold on to that elementary factor that unites them with the other party, this is what they should give priority consideration and not the cause of the dispute, nor the dispute it self because if you give priority attention to the dispute or its cause, you'll certainly be so provoked to a point where you will most likely cause a kind of damage that even you may regret much later when the air is cleared and your emotions have regained balance. Paul and Peter were both Apostles of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ and at a point they disagreed on certain issues but they did not kill each other neither did they go about tarnishing each other's public image nor assassinating each other's character. For they both had great respect for the Holy Spirit of Christ by which they're both bound even unto this day. If you're in the shoes of any of them, would you have acted differently? more »
