Before I Go
I prayed so hard for you
God wasted no time
Here you are, my answered prayer
In flesh & blood, you've been mine
Now closer to a part of me
I was sure was gone
Things I thought I knew
You proved me wrong
I'm gonna be going soon
But BEFORE I GO, I WANT YOU TO KNOW
You're a true love, a blessing
& I'm going to miss you like crazy
Showing me Passion & heart DO live in man
Was no easy task for you
Teaching me how to feel & love again
Had to of weighed heavy on you
But you did it because,
Today I see the patience you endured
What I used to think were ALL lies,
Came alive through YOUR eyes
Good men DO survive
So, please, BEFORE I LEAVE, believe,
THAT YOU WERE NEVER A GAME TO ME
I WAS NEVER ASHAMED OF YOU
I'M NEVER ABLE TO EXPLAIN THIS BATTLE
WITH MY HEART IN PAIN
OH,., BEFORE I GO
I KNOW,.,
I'm leaving with habits you wish you'd broken
Like my stubborn need to always control
& my constant fear of being too open
But I hope I was, at least enough
To prove that not ALL of me is frozen
In my life, you'll always be
In my mind, you'll sing constantly
Please understand & trust in me
So this way, BEFORE I GO, I will KNOW
· · · · · · ·
That you were NOT a dream
That everything gone through was real
& not make believe
That you loved me UNCONDITIONALLY
Please,
BEFORE I LEAVE, I NEED YOU TO SEE
YOU WERE NEVER A GAME TO ME
I WAS NEVER ASHAMED OF YOU
NEVER ABLE TO EXPLAIN THIS BATTLE
WITH MY HEART always IN CHAINS
YES, BEFORE I GO,.,
Kiss my forehead, Kiss my Eyes
I know you hate goodbyes
HOLD ME TIGHT---- one more time
Caress my neck put us both at ease
PLEASE MAKE THIS FEEL RIGHT----
Because I've gotta go
But BEFORE I DO,., I NEED YOU
IN YOUR HEART,., To KNOW
THAT YOU WERE NEVER A GAME TO ME
I'VE NEVER BEEN ASHAMED OF YOU
IF ONLY I COULD JUST EXPLAIN THIS BATTLE
BUT THIS HEART JUST ACHES
I wish I could stay and
YOU weren't so far away
BABE, I'VE GOT TO GO......
....KNOW I LOVED YOU.....
BEFORE I GO

About this poem
It is a song I wrote to someone that taught me to not be so hateful towards penis havers. I was very much in love with this man. Always will be. We do not speak anymore. He isn't who he was and I am not who I was anymore. But I thank him for everything he did with me and for me. He blessed me very much. Thank you.
