Mother, Let You Listen My Pleadings!

Mother, when you tell me
the story of the moon,
I keep my head in your lap
and find it very anon.

The proximity of you
provides me warmth and comfort
but I explore the moon
less warm and short.

When you tell me
the stories of princess and magicians,
I close my eyes
and wave the thread of colorful dreams.

You know mother,
I hide my face in fear
when you tell me about cannibals
and story of man-eating tiger!

But when I read
about brooks
I find it dry
in my books.

Mother, let me stay in fancy world!
Let me stay in dream!
I find the books
very dull and grim.
