Learning to Listen
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
We lift our hands and lift our hearts to have the mind of Christ.
What’s up Doc? The rabbit said.
To make light of his Host.
But when he did he fell right there
Before the Holy Ghost.
The clouds lit up; the sky retreats.
It rolled back like a scroll.
The rabbit fearing for his life
Jumped back into his hole.
He did not fear the arrows.
He would not run from guns.
He did not fear the Lord of Hosts.
Until he met his Son!
The Word of God reached in the hole
And grabbed him by the ears.
He snatched him up and showed him God.
It taught him how to hear!
