Silence of the Antecedent
If these for walls could talk then these could speak for ways to paint.
These brush the colors off their sable bristles on to the faces faint.
Surfaces ice cream to me spumoni is nice three schemes of coloring.
Brings precisely a stream of eye dropped beliefs add vices uncovering.
Wondering now how those opposed to news abused the fuse?
Able link used not blown blinking unknown instinctually cues.
Spontaneously returns me to work on a learning experience I knead.
Recital improves confusing intrusions to these in the first degree.
Proof reading grows this with these and those I believe supposed to mean woven.
A means to we've colored paint schemed -n- streamed loves my ability chosen.
Broken inside at times real me providing such time to evaluate purposely.
Grown between service in works its' adversity climaxes why these arrived denied Deity.
About this poem
This was an entry into the April 2022 contest this site hosts. A complex rapped couplet with 12 lines, it was written at one sitting of many hours on this site. Its for the staff and judges of Poetry.com, it is about the experience and process of the contest and its results. It is for the contestants and the many varied reactions, opinions, religions, and experience levels; in hopes awareness is raised to the point we can sway the owners to change the rules to really do what they claim their contest is doing. All 3 April winners didn't win the contest that we challenged our works against; but were awarded the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place positions. The public forum (chat room persay) was very confused. That became the end of my confidence in the monthly contest. I'm making every effort to change the rules so the poets can actually have a lot. more »
