Hospital
The hospital
Hospitals are not mere morter shells
Not concrete buildings either.
They are living creatures like us
Full of vitality and warm emotions.
It's lively to watch in close quarters
Especially you be a patient.
Medics with a vision
Sisters with a selfless service.
It is a world apart in itself
See the love and affection.
Hear the joy of cure
See the meaning of living.
There is romance in the corridor
Love and sojourn in the labs.
Teamwork on the surgical theatre.
Warm smiles and kind words.
Somehow I feel elated and jinxed
Amidst hospital surroundings.
The green cover with chirping birds
The squirrels, pigeons and sparrows.
The nursing staff always busy
Going here and there like butterflies
The janitors with monotonous look
The labs with functional life.
The senior doctors with juniors around
Visiting the patients with a cure
Attenders with missives
Exhausted with innumerable walkings.
It is a world with live actions
Lifts beaming with persona
Going up and down innuberable times
Numbering one to 5, 10.
Are you a patient?
Let alone a grumbling nature
Then leave all your sorrows behind
The philosophy of cure beseech healing.
The modern hospitals are techsavvy
Digital, digital and digital.
Slowly the AI takes human interface
Now systems, procedure and files.
Husbands with annoying gestures
Wives with curtly looks
Fathers making life chivalrous
Mothers with natural care and conviction.
It is a corporate world in cities.
Except your face everything in files.
Your medical horoscope in digits.
You can google to view.
Different faces, different races
But the same old stories.
Minimally invasive marginally compulsive.
The sojourn love and hatred.
A change in climate bestow
Waiting for the surgeon' s words.
Sorrow or rejoice
Life in a Hosp goes on.
About this poem
About an hospital in a vibrant city, like a city within a city.
