Maya
Maya
Locked in a box
With sickness beside her
Bound by the demons
She ran from
Blinded and bruised
Every resource abused
Til existing was all
She'd become
Life's path now led her here
To this woman beside her
So mystical, soft, and serene
And sitting so still
Overcome with a chill
She then realized
What this could mean
The woman left with a flash
But she left her timely gift
When she told her
Her wings could still fly
Oh, the night sat awaiting
When the wind
Hummed it's tune,
"You can still catch the moon if you try!"
