Weak

I am feeble and I am weak
so much a burden but little to speak
if my life was a book with chapters
there'll be thousands of Afters

knowledge is scary but wisdom is light
in this battle I need understanding to fight
troubles on daily worries my spirit
the thought of independence the greatest deceit

my passion is drunken with great confusion
Not all I do in life are my decision
daily I'm broken to my bones
activities and happenings are like clones

I've wept sore till I began to smile
my many sorrows I've kept in a file
I've poured out my mind in all my writeups
My worries, pain and My drink from sour cups

About this poem

I sometimes feel inferior to others and also feel depressed, and this is how my world looks like when that happens.

Cletus Ikenna

I'm Cletus Ikenna Victor, from Lagos Nigeria. I am the last of 5 children, and I live with a single mom, cos I lost my dad at 6 months old. I Love writing poems, although I'm not like a full professional. I use poems to express things my mouth cannot say. Sometimes when I feel so sad or depressed, I just write and then I become fine. It gives me joy to write, no matter how unprofessional it might look, I derive peace and it's real. Being a Nigerian, where stuffs like these isn't really held at high esteem, you should know how discouraging and hard it has been for me. I just stumbled on this site today, and I promise to give you all my readers good contents to my ability. more…
