I Was Made the Villain
What makes a villain,
Is it dark clothes
And a crooked nose
Is it the want to be alone
To be free to roam
Perhaps its the lack of talking
Or the joy they find in mocking
But surely the hero isn’t all rainbows
They just don’t let their pain show
They can’t all be extroverts
Why do they get all the perks
Are they really so kind to everyone they know
Or are they a ticking time bomb waiting to blow
If the hero is perfect, and sunny, and kind
And the villain is dark, cold, and left behind
Perhaps I’m the villain after all
Perhaps I'm the one destined to fall
It's not that I hate everyone
I’m just done
Done with people thinking they bring everyone fun
I want to scream and tell them they bring none
Maybe it’s me
And I just can’t agree
Maybe I don’t see
Past how they affect me
Even if I realized
I can’t decree I’ll change
I’m not one to be idealized
I’m more likely to be estranged
I guess I am the villain
In everyone else's tale
But I was made this way
To be powerful and strong, not flimsy and frail
I wasn’t made to break down and cry
I was made to carry on and fly
I wasn’t made to fall apart
I wasn’t made with an easy heart
About this poem
For those who don't get why not liking people makes them bad. Same.
