Woman and the Beast
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
This calls for a mind with wisdom,
Seven heads are on seven mountains;
A woman sits in her kingdom,
Adjacent to flowing fountains.
For there are also seven kings,
Five of them in which have fallen;
There is one yet another brings,
To reclaim what has been stolen.
As the beast that was and is not,
Belong to them for destruction;
Reigning chaos that they have sought,
For sending into perdition.
There are ten horns for the ten kings,
Who received not royal power;
Together with the beast that brings,
Upon the appointed hour.
These are having one single mind,
For power over to the beast;
With Satan that they have aligned,
And planning a fantastic feast.
They will be making war with the Lamb,
But the Lamb will then conquer them;
As Lord of lords, the Great I Am,
For the King of kings will condemn.
