A CONVERSATION WITH MAMA
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
My mama always told me, Son, I taught you all that I could on how to be a man and pick your battles, and these types of wars are hell, but you need to have your voice heard. It would be best if you had others see you making your stand. Now take your tongue and walk it well.
Only if my mama could see that her little boy was the man now that she always wanted me to be this mental freedom did not come so quickly since I crossed over from the other side, but mama kept asking what I hoped to find.
These conversations with Mama always opened my stubborn eyes even when I was not listening until now after all these years and trying to ease my mind from all of my mother's fears because I was always the black sheep, the wild child, but for once, I think I made mama smile when I told her, please don't worry I got this and gave her a goodbye kiss
