The Wizard

David Roberts 1946 (yorkshire)

When the Wizard counts to three you will disappear.
Pulling pigeons from his knee and pennies from your ear.
Magic wands he has them too.
And razor blades for tea.
He can make a friend of me and make a fool of you.
Now here's a trick that's very good.
Sawing girls in half.
There may just be a little blood
But still......
You have to laugh.
Magic wands he has them too and razorr blades for tea
And he can make a friend of you and make a fool of me

About this poem

I originally wrote this short poem as a song after watching politicians debated before an election. It struck me that. Politicians can be as slippery as magicians
