Good Works
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Be subject for the Lord’s sake,
To every institution;
Whether to a king you take,
As per their constitution.
Or unto their governors,
Praising for them to do good;
To punish evildoers,
Doing as well as they should.
For this is the will of God,
To silence the ignorance;
Foolish people who are flawed,
Showing their intolerance.
Live as people who are free,
Not to cover up evil;
But as servants of God be,
Thwarting deeds of the devil.
Show love in the brotherhood,
Fear God and honor the king;
Give honor to those that stood,
The stability they bring.
