The Fall
Kevin Anderson 1965 (Ill)
The Fall
I fell so fast and so hard for you
It was nothing you said to me or promised to do
My heart and mind overflowed with ideas
Of things we’d do and of the life we’d live
I picture our future in a beautiful frame
Made up of romance and of passion it’s borders dripping red and hot as a fires flame
Burning perpetually, lighting the four chambers of my heart
Know before your appearance it was bleak and dark
With your permission, I’d like to teach our love about the joy of ecstasy
Me, me, I’m here for you; my love is truly for the world to see
In my heart and mind is where you’ll reside eternally
In my world, I desire nothing more than thee
The fall has taught me to never give up on love
The fall has taught me that there’s a shining light from above
Love for you has taught me to get back up after every fall
The fall has taught me that love can conquer all
