Trust and Believe

You see him as an OutKast,
One they all stood in line to meet,
Until the day he faced the world alone,
From all the dreaded terror this time he won't be beat.

Once he had everything anyone could ever dream,
If not in his hand, never far from reach,
So where are they now;
Sharing their love with anyone else,
Looking around, there's no one left to share himself with, yet he's finally found some peace.

There's no one there, no objections to make, no race to run, no challenge or obstacles left, no one else who wants to compete.
He's nobody's love, nobody's one and only, no one to claim they are his to die for, no one to live with and make him feel complete.

Locked up inside a fate meant only for the weak,
He's finally won when he found acceptance in the LORD, who he asked to take over his feelings, and what he does just to find some relief.

Prisoner of life's ways, in a world where only he's failed, no matter the battle,when it comes to love, there's no one with whom to share, but the one and only master of peace, and the only thing left I can trust and finally believe.

About this poem

A different approach all together, I created this piece at a time when things were moving along and I wasn't in despair or digging deeper into a dark hole full of pain and sorrow.
