My Dreams
Chris Morganroth 1967 (forks)
As I begin to close my eyes, I can see your face.
I feel your gentle touch and unforgettable embrace.
I can feel my hand within yours, Together as one.
My heart begins to race and pound like the beat of a drum.
I feel you beside me, and you reassure me that you're mine.
This moment shared together holds back the hands of time.
I look deep into your eyes and kiss your soft sweet lips.
You run your fingers through my hair and as I gently caress your hips.
I touch your soft light skin as I exhale in relief.
We share a comfortable silence, there are too many words to speak.
I can smell your body, what a sweet distinctive scent.
Coconut oil never before seemed a scent so sweet.
We gaze into each other’s eyes and share a tender kiss.
This simple sign of affection contains an enormous amount of bliss.
You close your eyes, hold me close, and attempt to fall asleep.
Once again, you reopen them to make sure, not one inch did I creep.
You bring your face toward my ear and softly begin to say...
Words that start to disappear as your face begins to fade away.
I wake from my dream and realize I'm alone and by myself.
I lay in my bed in silence...just me and no one else.
The moment spent with you was nothing more than a simple dream,
Created by the times we spent together, which are now just memories.
I pray that one day this dream will come true,
And my life will no longer be spent alone, but be right here with you...
