Who ever told me (what is life)

Who ever told me what is life
Who ever took a guess?

The rhythm that poet tries to whet
Or bird that weaving nest

Or maybe child who changed his mind
And tears now bright in smile

A rill from childhood mumbling trifle
Or dream that came from strike

It may be dust the guard of time
Or leaf that caught its wind

One gained an end and bursts with pride
Another lost his print

Futility enslaves the urge
Compassion eats repose

If someone told me what I wrote
Perhaps he’d found response
