A hopeless romantic on his phone
I’ve always been a fast texter maybe im always on my phone or maybe im waiting to see a gentle tone a sweet hello, a bitter “i have to go” but still waiting for the words that might turn this skeleton to more then just bones “i love you” is all i want to know maybe my phone is glitched i should reset it, i’ll play some games and check it in a bit, and when i sit down i do, i play some games i watch a movie i check my phone and when theres nothing there i swear i might go looney. when i sleep hours go by i open my eyes and the very first thought is to pray you replied, it doesn’t matter when early morning hours, the later nights, when im in the shower? Im still eagerly waiting, the power to pray it means nothing if exchanging words mean you won’t even stay, it was sad to realise the way people are changing i thought it was what we were doing but deep down i know its me they were hating it doesn’t matter if we’re friends or if we’re dating it never goes a word without my mind being complicating. sometimes it doesn’t take a word its the overthinking thoughts its the little birds that told me its the sea of heartbeats i spend waiting for your reply it’s the feeling i might die if you don’t love me even half as much as i know you hate me. i’ve always been a fast texter a quick reply the first to pull out my phone and tell you the time while checking my notifications to see if your in even a single one of mine, maybe im on my phone to much or maybe i need to let go of the people who make me feel, like i’ll never be enough
About this poem
Inspired about how people tell me how often im on my phone i can type sentences and paragraphs before your eyes can catch up with the words, so this i wrote about it but im always waiting for a certain someone
