The tide
Trevor Haeden Hughes 1999 (Jacksonville, Arkansas)
With Seafoam
With Seafoam
With Seafoam
They call me the Tide
I do not know why
I know I push 'em away
And pull 'em back in
I might even be friends with sirens
Don't be afraid
Of my waves on the shore tonight
I do not wash away your blues
Even though you fill me with poison
Although I do argue with the moon every night
They call me the tide
I do not know why
'Cause I will not wash away
All of your blues
But I will
Shower and
Wash all over you,
I might even freeze you
Turn your skin real, real blue
Introduce you to Neptune
I can't escape the place I stay
Due to gravity
I guess I am the tide
I guess I'll wash you
Tonight
I'll crush you with
Sea foam
Sunken ships
and stolen bones
I also have riptides
And maybe drown people
They call me the tide
they call me the tide
But I am the tidal wave
Washing away their pain
I am the tidal wave
