A catastrophic Collapse
The warm summer day starts off so bright
Outside, the songbirds sing their tune
The bee’s wings reflect from the sunlight.
Even though it was mid-season and only noon,
No flowers have bloomed.
The bees knew they were doomed.
Without flowers, no nectar, no baby bees
But- *swoosh* the breeze picks up with ease.
Then the rain falls, heavy and loud.
The drops splat on the ground,
The bees go back to the hive...
No pollen or nectar. They will lose their lives!
This happens daily. The bees are starving…
Flowers n longer bloom, trees never grow…
We humans are at an all-time new low!
The ecosystem is falling apart.
Only 1 year later, we are barely surviving.
The bees are gone. Can we just do a restart?
It was all a dream... but the bees are STILL declining!
We need to save them!
If not, we will reach our end.
The heart of the ecosystem!
When will we ever come to our senses?!
What can we do? Make some changes!
Restore the species…
Fix the valleys… the countries!
We can do it, we start now
So make that vow.
About this poem
Written for my Enviromental Science Final Project, I decided to do a poem with the theme if the bee species, as a whole, was to disappear.
