My guiding light
My life was ruined beyond repair. I knew no one who gave a care. As I laid there upon my bed, all I wanted was to be dead. The pain in my heart was so great - I knew all help would be too late. I Heard a voice inside my head, "You'd feel no pain if you were dead."
It was satan who spoke to me - in hell was where he wanted me. As I again began to cry, I thought of ways in which to die. There was no chance of a reprieve. There'd be no one I knew who'd grieve. I was so lost and all alone;A greater need I've never known. At that moment, I don't know why, my Holy Bible caught my eye. As I knelt down beside my bed, I closed my eyes and bowed my weary head. "Oh please dear Lord !" I prayed that night," help me, show me Your guiding light."I felt someone right next to me, I opened my eyes so I could see. Beside me knelt a man in white, all around him was a glorious light. He held me in a loving embrace, as the tears He brushed from my face. He said," I've been waiting on your call. I'll always be there if you should fall." I felt His love inside me grow, and the Holy Spirit in me flow. He gave me peace where there'd been none, and gave me hope in the rising sun. The Man who saved me that devastating night, was Jesus Christ my guiding light.
