For My Children
For My Children
By Robert T. Davenport
In a world so vast, where dreams take flight,
I pen these words, with all my might.
For you, my children, my precious ones,
I weave a tapestry of love, till the setting sun.
With every verse, I hope to impart,
The strength within, to follow your heart.
For life may challenge, and trials may come,
But remember, my darlings, you're not alone.
In the depths of your soul, a fire burns bright,
A flame of courage, a guiding light.
Embrace your passions, let them ignite,
And watch as your dreams take flight.
Believe in yourself, in all that you do,
For the world is waiting, to witness you.
You have the power, to shape your fate,
To conquer mountains, and break down gates.
Embrace the beauty, in every day,
Find joy in laughter, along the way.
For life is a journey, a wondrous ride,
With ups and downs, side by side.
Chase your dreams, with unwavering zeal,
Let determination be your driving wheel.
And when you stumble, as we all do,
Rise up, my children, and start anew.
Remember, my loves, you're never alone,
In my heart, you'll always find a home.
I'll be your rock, your guiding star,
No matter how near or how far.
So spread your wings, and soar up high,
Reach for the stars, touch the sky.
For you, my children, are destined for greatness,
With love as your compass, and dreams as your canvas.
May this poem be a reminder, each passing day,
That you are loved, in every single way.
And as you grow, and face the unknown,
Know that my love for you has only grown.
So go forth, my children, with heads held high,
Embrace the world, with a gleam in your eye.
For you are the future, the hope we hold dear,
And with your dreams, the world will cheer.
