Ma Baw -Bugs
conductor 1972 (nj)
Oh, gather 'round and lend your ears to me
To hear a savory tale of Ma Baw-Bugs
Whose culinary skills were such that she
Could craft the finest haggis and meat mugs
From Scotland's lands, where rugged hills abound
She'd blend the flavors, deep and rich and bold
Her haggis thymus was the best around
A dish that charmed the world, both young and old
To far-off lands, she brought her tasty treats
And made them shine like stars in foreign skies
Rocky Mountain oysters, crispy, sweet
A dish that made the spirits soar and rise
With spices, herbs, and secrets in her pot
She stirred the magic, where the dreams were wrought
Each bite of haggis, each meaty delight
Filled souls with joy and warmth and appetite
Oh, Ma Baw-Bugs, with apron, knife, and spoon
Her skills renowned, from dawn until the moon
Her laughter ringing through the glen and wood
A maestro of the kitchen, great and good
With wit and charm, she served the feast so grand
Her recipes, a treasure of the land
Embedded in the haggis and the stew
Her legacy, a gift for me and you
From wee children to those with wrinkles and gray hair
Her flavors linger, memories so fair
A taste of home, a hug, a loving trace
Ma Baw-Bugs' legacy, forever in its place
