Sonnet # 66
How proud would roses be if feelings born!
To see that to the nose they're pure delight.
And often women's hair they do adorn.
And human eyes agree they do spring light.
The rain could talk, what, people, would it say?
To think it wet the ground and flowers grow.
The rain gives water; the role it does play!.
It has no price; it priceless e'er does show.
Think of the sun if had a human heart,
What loving phrases would it gives to earth?
To think that when it shines, that lovely part!
And to the trees it has much value, worth.
You see, here nature is telling a truth.
When nature thus, how glad the old, the youth!
