The Journey of Repair
The nothingness consumes me, a dull ache that grows and gnaws at my insides. I try to fight it, but it always wins in the end. Sitting alone on my throne of lies, I am surrounded by thoughts of broken promises and shattered dreams. The crown of thorns on my head is a constant reminder of all the pain I have caused and endured. But even as I wallow in this self-inflicted misery, I know that hope is forbidden here. It's easier to drown my sorrows in violence than to face the truth and try to repair what has been damaged. But then, there are moments of unexpected peace, a sip from a cup filled with something other than bitterness. And in those fleeting moments, I feel a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, I can repair the broken parts of myself. But then the feeling fades, leaving behind only shame and despair. As much as I want to escape from this cycle, it's familiar and comfortable - like an old friend that I can't seem to let go of. Until one day, when the light breaks through the darkness and shines into the depths of my soul. And for the first time in a long time, I see a glimpse of who I could be if I let go of my destructive tendencies. It's a tornado of emotions, tearing through my heart and mind - but amidst all the chaos, there is a sense of clarity. I am conflicted - torn between holding onto my broken past or taking a chance on repairing myself. But in that moment, I choose repair. And with each step towards healing, I become stronger and more whole. This is my journey - the journey of repair

About this poem
This poem I wrote yesterday morning, I was having issues with my self and how I have to feel as gain or I have to use again. This has been my worst sobriety because one I have a lot more trauma and I have to heal so my children can have a good life and there is no other way but the right way. The repairing is filled with shame, hurt , dealing with violence and darkence to this eternal light from God. So join me on my journey within this poem
