Remember me

Latin X 1967 (Philadelphia)

I want you to remember  the love we shared.

I want you to remember I always cared.

When I’m gone move on. I’ll always be near. I guarantee you’ll find a new love in less than a year.

I’ll send you  an earth angel that’ll make you laugh again.  Make your heart whole again. Make you smile again.

I can’t be selfish with you. When you loving me is all I knew.

I don’t want you to forget me completely.
Keep me In the archives of your mind
I know the memory of me will eventually subside.

I want you to remember how I made you feel.  When I met you, you had a heart of steel. I softened your heart, broke all those barriers that tore it apart.  Made your heart whole again. Made you love again.

Remember my smile, remember my laughter, hold my hand till I enter the hereafter.

I’ll be waiting on the other side.
Waiting patiently to  guide you to the light.

The clock is ticking, I’m running out of time
In my hour of need please don’t leave my side.

I need to let go of this earthly shell.
I pray the Lord shows me mercy and spares me from hell.

Hold my hand so I can close my eyes.
You know between us there will never be a permanent goodbye.
