Running Gazelle
Abdullahi Nuhu Abdullahi 2000 (Kano)
Absolutely tired of running.
Incessant hunger making internal burning.
Helpless. Too moral to commit cunning.
Dwelling in a governmental territory.
A bad government that hardly do the primary.
Let alone the difficult secondary.
Living perplexed with a single option.
Not actually good, but it might bring consolation.
And risky enough to make life cancellation.
The parent have fought and bled.
Hence an orphan, left with only a sharp blade.
A blade that made gallant men fled.
Locked in an evergreen forest with few mangrove
A fenced forest making it difficult to move.
Attempts were never successful even if done in drove.
It was a forest for all —the innocent dove and the merlin
Soil fecundity was in excess, whenever rain is falling.
Nearly perfect, with frequent earthquake as a main failing.
Situated, in the center, a lovely stream.
Unimaginably good even in a daydream.
Feeble-minded gazelle, hence simple to cream.
The king was no longer a treat.
Being deaf to the gazelles, when they entreat.
Too harsh and cruel, despite the daily greet.
Being running all the night and the day.
From the winter January to the middle May
Only to stop for water when passing a bay.
I couldn't help the running gazelle, all I did was pity.
A time will come that'll give light to the county.
Making gazelles no longer running, but seated in a city.
