Winter
Michael R. Cole 1959 (Sacramento)
Winter has begun there goes the sun,
The fun of chasing shadows in now done.
Everting dies I tell you no lie,
Look up to the sky, you’ll see why.
It’s always cold or wet it seems,
I wish it was all just a dream.
First it’s the wind then it’s the rain,
Are you going to sit there and complain.
There is one thought that remains,
Winter always starts out the same.
So, put on a coat don’t be afraid,
You can always watch the Macy’s parade.
