Love Unbound
theramblequeen 1995 (Pune)
It took losing him to finally find herself
Losing him to discover her true powers,
She was so hell bent on providing for him
That she neglected herself
Neglected her peace,
Pieces of her soul she tore to feed him;
Not realizing how hollow she was making her
She was smoldering him he said;
Couldn't he see the sacrifice, the torture, the pain
She endured just to see him smile,
She stood by him when he was lonely
when he was sad and doubting himself,
His ignorance hurt her the most;
His casual callousness ripped her apart,
Day in and day out
Her ripped soul bled
Until finally he took himself and left,
His nonchalance never changed;
She begged, she pleaded for him to come back
Thinking it was her biggest loss
But in reality it was her biggest gain,
Through the pain she lifted herself
Crying she healed
She shabbily stitched her broken pieces together;
She learnt to be her own prince charming,
Then she met a kind-hearted fellow;
A definition of man in every sense
Learnt the difference loving a boy and a man can make;
He makes her happy he makes her come alive;
Livelier than she ever felt in her life
She discovered a part of her she hid from the world
He accepts her every piece, making her heart swirl
He breaks all the rules to see her smile
Fights with all to have her by his side
He stood by her and he stands by her still
A light to her dark, her brighter beam,
Oh! The passion a true love brings
An unmatched pleasure, an unparalleled bliss!
People fall in love, looking for a hastened fix
But he & her, they rise in love
A great match well deserved;
Locked in love's eternal kiss!
