Paper Visions Flapped
Her eyes caught mine in the reflection I smashed in hate
while love laughed in the corner of apprehension's snarl,
sometimes the only person you can trust is yourself,
and with that thought I slashed the night's anguish into slips
of laughter while the moon captured my dead look's escape.
Perhaps tonight would be the night I died, perfect pain
would wave a farewell as my cold spirit crashed once more,
each life that I lived ended the same it seemed to me,
maybe this time would be the one where I did not burn,
I doubt it though, I'm so used to this now, there is no hope.
With a spark of regret cutting the fine swirled colours
in my eyes I left her on the floor of her own cruel
imagination and dived to my own pathetic
blue dream world where no one and no thing ever survived,
such a wonderful crazy world I fluttered inside.
The devil within me grinned as paper visions flapped
across the curled breath I set free to roam solemn graves,
it was only a matter of moments before lights
leapt into my screeched tracks of beautiful destruction,
I had the notion I would have longer this time round.
"Stop or we will shoot?" Was the cry that ran towards me,
but I could not care less if they did so continued
the journey of this reality's oblivion ~
and then I heard the click and a bullet connected.
"Goodbye for now!" I screamed as death took hold of my hand.
