The Fate Of Man
Should I thank lightning for fire,
or praise the wind for blowing?
Without fire life would expire,
and wind keeps weather flowing.
Fire dispatches lives with ease,
and when winds wail ships are lost.
Causing pain time can't appease,
hopes die and futures are tossed.
Should I worship rain and sun,
are they not worthy of praise?
Water nourishes and sustains,
while the sun warms with its rays.
Rain devastates and souls drown,
while deserts are fired by the sun.
Flooded buildings come crashing down,
and droughts kill more than a gun.
Whom should I thank for evil,
is it not part of God's plan?
And when wars cause upheaval,
who decides the fate of Man?
