The Freedom of Choice (The Price I Paid)
18 years old and my life is on hold.
There is a heartbeat within my belly,
and my eyes are swelling, from tears. Because you can't hide life inside of you.
Crimson drops of my fury flood my face,
if only I could hide somewhere in space,
but even there God Himself beholds my shame.
For this being inside of me, He has created a name, in His Book.
Tears are blue,
the deepest blue,
the saddest hue, you'll ever know,
Crying a river of most colours,
mixed here and there upon the floor.
No one to comfort at the door.
Because of my flesh, I lived and I laid,
Now this is the price that must be paid.
$360.00, will take away their glares and stares
and stalkings while talking, about me,
and the things that I could have been before without my sin.
$360.00 for a life,
was what I needed to pay their price.
18 years ago, now I'm 36,
I bare a record that $360.00 could never fix.
By the mercy of God through Christ, I'm restored.
But where there are three to love, there would have been four.
Choose wisely.
