The Ruins of Anthracite

strike hoof and spark
white fire as i run
let the magic and the wonder
and the glory and the thunder
flow around me
safe beside me
as i run

in the violent dusk
among the ruins of anthracite
i fly faster than the stars
that wheel above me vast and far
in my mind i almost touched them
in my heart i see them clear
even as i run among them
through the sky
