In My Prayers.

Your name is a frequent one,
one that's often said,
at night when I speak to god,
just before I go to bed.
You see- I know I'm blessed,
to have someone like you,
I could have never guessed,
that we'd survive what we've been through.
Yet we have and here we stand,
much stronger than we were,
and problems weren't planned,
but what a purpouse they have served.
Now we're just like steel,
welded together,
but with a softness underneath,
I know we'll last forever.
But just incase I say a prayer,
every single night,
and after I say my thanks for you,
I ask to keep you in my life.
I hope that god is listening,
to my deepest needs,
because my future'll be glistening,
if you're in it with me.
So you're always in my prayers,
although you say we'll never end,
I still pray to keep you there,
my love and my  best friend.

EMAIL ME AT sofisweetie@hotmail.com or add me on facebook for info on my other writing! https://www.facebook.com/SophieLarrrrrMarieMy name is Sophie Marie Roberts. I'm nearly 20 years old and I live in Wrexham, North Wales. I write poetry because it's one of the things that comes naturally. When I was a child I would try to write a diary like everyone else my age but I ended up with a book of poetry. I find it the easiest way to express what is happening in my mind too (which, in some cases, worries me- since my poetry is rather bizzare!) I don't have any diploma's, certificates or qualifications that tell me I should write but I write anyway. I hope people like my poetry- but I know it won't be everyone's cup of tea- but I hope it's yours. ALSO; PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALLTHOUGH I WROTE 'THIS POEM MEANS' UNDERNEATH MY POEMS- I'M MERELY STATING WHAT IT MEANT IN MY HEAD. PLEASE INTERPRET MY POETRY HOWEVER YOU WISH. http://www.booksie.com/mystery_and_crime/short_story/inksplodges/bitter-freedom/chapter/1 < one of my short stories. more…
