Dismissing Pretensions
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Contradictions kept?
Checked.
Hypocrisies kept?
Checked.
Pretensions kept to live them?
'Hold on.
Let's not get carried away.
One step at a time to examine.
Is better to take.
To ensure some success is made.'
First let's come to agree to understand,
Dismissing kept to keep false pretensions.
Is a difficult undertaking for many to face.
When fictioned fairytales to have lived them,
And marketed to emulate?
Most upset will begin to protest,
Their way of life affording them no escape...
Has only truth left.
To debate it for what truth is.
'Oh, NO!'
OH, YES!
And...
Not only that.
Hearing to see the facts exposed.
Can permanently damage,
The minds of those who have opposed...
Truth to refuse it to deny,
All of their lives it has existed kept hidden.
In fear it has been revealed to threaten...
Their impressions to make,
They need on a daily basis...
To charade and disguise their masquerading.
'Oh, no?'
Oh, yes yes yes.
And not only that.
Truth to accept as reality to live it.
Without deceiving oneself?
Think about what this horror will do,
For the many who will then begin...
To see themselves too!
'And...
What is this called again?'
Some call it TRUTH.
Although others prefer to call it,
The enemy of deluded people!
The ones wanting to destroy it.
And their way of life as well.
'What sense does that make?'
Only those now debating it,
Know what decision they will ultimately make.
